Hair Care Routine

A three part Hair Care Routine is all you need to ensure you have covered all your hair care needs; Pre-wash, Washing, and Post-wash. We are about to share with you our favourite ways to care for our hair!


Pre-wash - requires stimulation of the scalp. We like to use rosemary oil massaged into our scalp. Studies show that rosemary oil can promote healthy hair growth! We like to use one full dropper on the entire scalp, splitting hair into sections, 1inch apart from each other, and about 2-3 drops for each part. Make sure to massage the oil into your scalp with your fingertips by moving the skin in circular motions, not rubbing. Rubbing can lead to hair loss. Do this for 3 minutes.

Then, we like to use half a dropper of argan oil on our mids to ends of the hair. The amount you use depends on the thickness of your hair, but you don’t want to drown your hair in oil. This helps nourish your hair and fight frizz. Argan oil is great for dry and damaged hair. Tie your hair in a loose bun or braid and let the mask sit for 4 hours.


Washing - Once your hair is soaking wet, only shampoo your roots, as that is really all that’s needed to be cleansed. When you rinse your hair, the shampoo will naturally fall down to your mids and ends of the hair. We like to shampoo twice to make sure we get all the oil out our our hair and scalp. Then, rinse thoroughly because next we like to use a hair mask on our mids and ends of the hair. Detangle your hair with a wide tooth comb to ensure the hair mask is covering every single strand. This makes it easier for you to brush your hair after your shower as it is already detangled. Leave the hair mask on for 10 minutes. Then, rinse out with cool water. Now you can use conditioner. We like to keep the conditioner away from the roots as well, leave it on for 2 to 3 minutes. Rinse out thoroughly with cool water. Wrap your hair in a microfibre towel. We love to use a microfibre towel because it is more gentle for your hair and it helps your hair dry faster!


Post-wash - After getting all the excess moisture out of your hair with the microfibre towel, we can now start our post-washing hair routine. We like to go in with a leave in conditioner, keep away from our roots. This helps detangle and hydrate your hair. Then we like to use a hair oil on our mids to ends, and a scalp serum. Then apply your heat protection spray and blow dry your hair. Once done drying, we like to reapply some more hair oil on our mids and ends.
